There's a million places to go to find out what to do in New York. Some want shopping, some the hottest restaurants, some want museums, theater, music, the list goes on. This page will simply list things recommended by friends, and that has worked for us. You have a tip? Let us know. It is impossible to cover it all but you can't go wrong!

Chelsea Market is near the High Line so you can visit both. It has the loveliest food markets and restaurants, cute shops and is just a wonderful place to wander around.

This is just cool.... it is a public park built built on a 1.45-mile-long elevated rail structure from a freight railway. Instead of tearing it down, they built a public park. The views are amazing, you can rest, read, people watch, relax. Check it out here.
