Not that we're not enjoying snow and winter here in New England. It's all fine and we are used to it but these last two weeks have not been sooo fun. We expected snow and got rain and wind, with a mix of snow. But don' worry, spring will SOON be here. It's going to be 50 this weekend. Don't put your winter clothes away though - let's not jinx it.

A long weekend coincides with Valentine's day, how great is that! The ice heart below was waiting for me at the pond in the Public Garden. Beautiful, isn't it?  The weather outside is frightful, but isn't it delightful? Blue skies and snow, what could be better for some ice skating on the Frog Pond in the Boston Common. The pond in the Public Garden is frozen too but be careful if you try it out!  New Years was celebrated in style in Boston - as usual. Celebrations for young and old! Hope you all had a fun time and that 2010 has started out in the very best way. And remember, only happy, fun and healthy resolutions!
Largest Swedish event in New England - Saturday December 5 at the Cyclorama in the South End. A great event for the whole family; all sorts of great Swedish handicrafts (most of it handmade), Swedish food (waffles and meat balls for example), Lucia-processions at 11.30am and 2pm. There's a children's corner as well! Lots of fun. Visit SWEA Boston for more information.  Strap on your ice skates - the Frog Pond in the Boston Common (America's oldest park!) is open for the season. Old and young, experienced and beginners, you will see them all here and it is fun for all! Open as of today until Mid March 2010.  As part of their Community days, you can visit the Museum of Fine Arts for free once per month. You can even visit the special exhibition! Go here for more museums!  Restaurant week is an excellent opportunity to try out restaurants in Newport . Great deals to be had. Make reservations and head on down to the sailing capital of the world!  The holiday season is soon here and you don't want to miss out on the Boston Pops Holiday Concert at Symphony Hall. You can still get great tickets at a reasonable price! Go for it! You know you want to!
Halloween is huge all over New England, Salem being the epicenter. But Beacon Hill go all out when it comes to decorations. Take a look!
