Charles Street, Beacon Hill, Boston

Not only will you find plenty of antique stores on Charles Street and other streets in Beacon Hill, but Beacon Hill itself is beautiful to stroll around. Old gorgeous brownstones, perfectly kept houses with impeccable window boxes and decorations depending on the season.

South Shore, MA

We LOVE Salvage Chic.... It is SO worth the drive from Boston. The owners get new stuff daily, and it's great stuff. You can see all the awesome items on their website (check out their blog, it's fun to read). They do such a nice job with displaying the items in the store and it is easy to see why people come back again and again. Prices are reasonable too! Go, go, go!

North Shore

Essex, MA - over 30 antique shops most within walking distance from each other. You will find items from all time periods and price ranges. We enjoyed Howard's, 136 Main Street (a wide range of things including garden items; lots to look at). A fun store to visit is Joshua's Corner Antiques, 4 Southern Ave - it's a mix of antiques and fun, cool stuff in a beautiful building. Very nice store-owner too! The White Elephant is fun... They have an outlet store too outside of Essex.

Antique Alley, Rt 4 in New Hampshire

We say - just go there and drive down Rt 4 and stop where you feel like it./ There are antique stores all along Rt 4. We saw a little sign along the road for The Betty House which was tucked away in the woods and a real find. The owner was a wonderful older gentleman who was happy telling the story of Betty's antiques and showing us around. Many of the pictures to the right are from there.

Vermont

There are tons of antique stores and antique centers in Vermont so it depends on where you are going. We have spent time on Rt 100 which has some fun stores. Our recommendation is to search online for stores in the area you are going to.

Wickford Antique Estate Liquidators, 200 Ten Rod Road, North Kingstown, RI 401 294 9707. They had fun, good stuff when we visited. Signal flags, rice baskets, and things for the garden.
